Being a man of many broad and diverse social and
occupational experiences has its advantages. Among these, the
exposure one gets to different people interacting under the
pressures of various circumstances, provides an extensive background
for the evaluation of society as a whole. This is fundamentally what
sociology means; i.e. the study of society. The natural and
inevitable consequence of intelligent study is the revelation of
patterns of group behavior born out of these specific circumstances.
Through experimental research one may even learn to isolate or
combine certain aspects of these circumstances, know their precise
influences so as to predictably alter and adjust the psycho-socio
reality of society. This knowledge, when applied with wisdom and a
responsible consciousness for a just and civil social order, is the
purpose of leadership and should be the criterion for the selection
or election of institutional authority.
In addition to these personal and professional
experiences, my mind and heart has been molded and formed by the
immeasurable contributions of inspired teachers, social reformers
and leaders whose dedication and commitment to excellence earned
them honorable mention on the pages of history. Abraham, Moses,
Jesus and Muhammad, may the peace, mercy and blessings of The One,
God, Allah be upon them, were men whose concerns extended beyond
themselves and their immediate families to encompass the whole of
creation. This capacity to care is innately human and is in fact the
fundamental criterion for evaluating our individual and societal
worth and potential. For with this sensitivity comes the ability to
be affected and influenced to respond to things in our environment
that require and/or need attention. This motivates our will and
intelligence to bring the appropriate resources to bear upon the
issue of concern so as to effect the greater good and in the
interest of justice for all.
The issues of concern for the modern
world have grown complex and pervasive. For generations the needs
and requirements of people and things in our environment have been
ignored or at best addressed inappropriately. The greater good of
the few at the expense of the many has misappropriated the vast
resources of the world accordingly. Selfish individualism and
racist, nationalistic concerns have isolated other people and things
from our sensitivities to the extent that the interest of justice
means to benefit "just us." It is our contention that these narrow
ideals and elitist values are the seeds of violent, destructive,
anti-social behavior. Further, we contend that the field of human
consciousness is being planted and cultivated by the powers that be
controlling of our vital institutions with the high tech mechanism
known as mass media programming. We therefore intend and are
thoroughly committed to the restoration of human leadership to
institutional authority that will take the controls of mass media
programming to plant and cultivate a better harvest
of people for the world. Towards this end, Community Cultivations seeks to uproot from the soil of America's social consciousness the seeds of fear, folly and faithlessness instilled under the guise of culture and amusing entertainment.

By the grace of The One, God, Allah,
and the encouragement, contributions and active support of many
people, Community Cultivations has continued to improve and make
significant progress. With but a handful of subscriptions and even
less consistent advertising we have persevered in very trying times
to make painstaking process on the road that is steep. We therefore
wish to extend our sincere thanks to all that have helped us.
